Émile Bilodeau began playing music as a teenager and released his first album, Rites de passage, in 2016. More than 40,000 copies were sold and tens of millions of streams, earning Émile the Félix for Revelation of the Year at the ADISQ awards in 2017.

After having released four acclaimed albums in a few years (Rites de passage, Grandeur mature, petite nature, Tout seul comme un grand), it is in the spring of 2023 that he announces the continuation of his project, Au bar des espoirs, his fifth album scheduled for September of the same year, produced by his friend and wingman Simon Kearney.
