Singer-songwriter and author Stéphanie Boulay, unable to decide which hat to wear on a daily basis, has finally chosen to stop trying to define herself, and, most importantly, to stop limiting herself. After studies in music, then in literature, she published several works of fiction (À l’abri des hommes et des choses, Anatole qui ne séchait jamais, along with a few blog and collective publications), appeared in the media, and gained widespread recognition as the “blonde half” of the duo Les sœurs Boulay, with whom she earned a gold record and many industry accolades. With Ce que je te donne ne disparaît pas, Stéphanie temporarily parts with her partner in crime, Mélanie, to create a rich and reverberant album marked by elegant orchestrations. Thus, before resuming her musical journey with her sister, Stéphanie Boulay has allowed herself to venture out on her own (or almost) and assert both her individuality and vulnerability as an artist.
