Biography

“It’s all about the vibe.” Cerebral, yet intuitive, Miro Chino is concerned, above all, with finding his flow—that state of mind where everything seems to go smoothly, from thoughts to words, spoken words to gestures, and between individuals. A spiritual creature in a world where reason prevails, he tries to shake things up a bit and accept what doesn’t make sense.

A self-taught musician, Miro Chino initially discovered his love of songs through folk and rock music. Early on, he found out he had a penchant for lyrics and a somewhat awkward voice, which led him to experiment with hip hop. Using beats found on YouTube, he rediscovered poetry and developed his writing style, drawing on the meanings and sounds of words. He rapidly began to compose his own instrumental tracks, remaining true to the rock and folk influences that gave birth to his art.

A finalist at the 2022 edition of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, he is a colourful character on stage. With the energy of a storyteller, he creates captivating universes both on stage and in the studio. Behind each of his songs lies a visual concept, which will certainly be reflected on his debut album.
